“My exposure to creativity and art was through my mom. My mother, who is an artist, was in art school when I was little, and I was in daycare there. I watched my mom always creating, and she was my first art teacher. Because of that, I started very young creating, drawing, and painting. Throughout my life, art and writing was always a way for me to escape and/or process.
In college, I was a psychology major & art minor. My original career goal was to be an art therapist for children. For me being able to write, draw and create was such a large part of how I processed the world as a kid I really wanted to help others do the same. After graduating, I found my way into my current career, but art has always been part of my life in one way or another. My two current loves are photography and painting. I was blessed to work for a company before MacPherson’s that was in 20 countries so that I could capture my travel with my camera. Most recently, I found my way back to my paintbrush and started painting flowers.
Overall, all my art just truly reflects the world as I am seeing it at that moment.” – Molly J.
