Three Ways to Work With DANIEL SMITH Walnut Ink

Our water-based Walnut Ink is made from real walnut husks. It has a finely pigmented sepia tone that’s low-staining, lightfast and resistant to fading.

Walnut Drawing Ink

  1. Use with a fountain or dip pen to make fine lines, dots, cross-hatching and lettering with natural warmth.

2. Add dimensional shading to your drawing with a damp brush for a monochromatic painterly effect.

3. Create a preliminary sketch and allow the lines to gently transition into other mediums, like watercolor or gouache.
