Hard to believe it; summer is long gone, the Back-to-School rush has subsided somewhat and our favorite month is just around the corner! Not only does October sport one of the craftiest holidays of the year (the unlimited possibilities of Halloween), it is an opportunity for people to challenge themselves to improve their inking abilities, or to try pen & ink for the very first time.
Inktober is a month-long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker back in 2009; every day for the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates an ink drawing and posts it online, using the hashtags #inktober and #inktober2019. Inktober comes with official prompts; now is the perfect time to print them!
Ways To Prepare
- Tune in. Make sure to follow Inktober on Instagram for inspiration, and check out what various vendors are doing for Inktober: some have their own challenges in conjunction with the daily drawing challenge, like Zebra and Pentel.
- Delegate. Have a staff member participate in the Inktober challenge to flood your social media with cool visuals that feature relevant products.
