Pitt Artist Pens feature pigmented India Inks that are lightfast, acid-free and pH Neutral. The ink is also odorless, waterproof and permanent once dry on porous surfaces. The pens are excellent for building color and achieving a vast array of techniques and details. They work beautifully on all types of papers and canvas. The ink will also not bleed through paper making them ideal for sketch books. Pitt Artist Pens are used daily by artists worldwide for illustration, fashion design, life drawings, portraits, sequential art and canvas paintings. To further their functionality, Pitt Artist Pens are part of Faber-Castell’s unique color matching system made to mix perfectly with other media.

Mixing
The water-based ink with watercolor characteristics allows it to create brilliant color mixtures and bright color shades by mixing areas with each other.
You can use white PITT Artist Pens in combination with colored Pitt Artist Pens to create color blends ranging from soft to strong.
Dissolving
The India ink of the Pitt Artist Pen develops a dynamic flowability in wet areas. Once dry, the color is waterproof, permanent and can be painted over.
Layering
The dry PITT Artist Pen can be worked over with a water-soluble Albrecht Dürer pencil or watercolor, without dissolving again. The luminance and color depth remains intensive and stable.
Nib varieties
The Pitt Artist Pens are available in various line widths from fine nibs to brush tip. By varying the angles of holding the brush tip, one can create multiple line widths.
