How and what are they made of?
Our Ground and Gesso Blades are the first and only tool for painters made from 100% recycled materials. We directly source recycled plastic that meets our requirements and partner with a local company to injection mold these blades to our standards. As an aside, 100% recycled content actually costs more than less sustainable options.
These blades are an absolute joy to use. They save artists time, give them a better surface, and dramatically cut waste and environmental impact out of the process of preparing surfaces and cleaning-up. We could make a less expensive blade, but we couldn’t make them any better or more responsibly.
We are proud to be a leader in driving the development of more thoughtful, joyful, and sustainable options for artists, for Gamblin, and for fellow manufacturers.
