Learn how to make two envelopes for Galentine’s tea! It’s a fun way to give cozy hugs in mugs to your best gal pals.
Supplies
- Tombow Hard Tip Fudenosuke Brush Pen
- Tombow Xtreme Adhesive
- Scrapbook paper (cut to 6 x 4.25 inches) or Decorative Paper
- Bone folder tool
- Scoring board or Ruler
- Embellishments such as Washi tape and Stickers
- Baker’s Twine or ribbon
- Individual bags of tea
Step 1: Create the Base
With the six-inch side of your scrapbook paper at the top of your score board, score at three inches. Then, turn the paper 90 degrees clockwise to score at one inch. Next, fold your paper along the three-inch score mark, cut an angular shape from the bottom up to where the score lines cross and unfold. It should look like the picture below with two flaps at the bottom.
Step 2: Fold it Up
Next, flip your scrapbook paper over so the patterned side is facing down. Fold up the bottom flaps and secure along the outer edge with the Tombow Xtreme Adhesive. These will become the pockets that will hold the tea bags.
Step 3: Decorate
Now, grab your stickers, washi tape and any other embellishments you’d like to decorate your tea envelope. Layer them up a bit and secure them in place using the Tombow Xtreme Adhesive. Next, write “to” and “from” with the Hard Tip Fudenosuke Brush Pen on the back of the envelope. It adds a cute Valentine’s Day feel to the gift!
Step 4: Tea Time
Grab a couple of tea bags and slip them into the envelope flaps. You can include a few different kinds, so your Galentines can have some variety!
Step 5: Wrap it Up
Loop some baker’s twine or ribbon around your envelope to keep it shut and then tie a pretty bow. All done!
