Faber-Castell’s Gelatos pigment sticks can be used by themselves or combined with water and used as a watercolor medium. Thanks to a wide selection of available colors, they’re perfect for use with stencils . Simply dab the pigment directly on the paper as you fill in the pattern. For a softer effect, try first putting the pigment on a side piece of paper or a plastic palette. Then using a brush or sponge, pick up the color and fill in the stencil using small circular motions. You can also add a drop of water and mix with the pigment on the palette to create a watercolor medium. Have fun experimenting with the colors as their soft texture allows for easy blending. Finally, you can mix Gelatos with other mediums like spackle or gesso to add dimension to your work.
