QoR Urban Sketch

This set was curated to create a foundational palette for urban sketching. This combination of granulating and non-granulating colors allows for a wide variety of mixtures – clean bright colors, chromatic neutrals, and textural effects. The inclusion of six empty half pans expands the potential even further by allowing the artist space to customize their palette.

Set Includes: Benzimidazolone Yellow, Quinacridone Red, Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Teal, Van Dyke Brown, Payne’s Gray + six empty half pans.

0:00 1. Absorbent Ground on canvas board – feel free to tint this mixture with GOLDEN Fluid Acrylics

0:40 2. Pastel Ground on clear acrylic sheet – we masked an area for nice clean edges (and a satisfying tape removal) 1:17 3. Micaceous Iron Oxide – we love this self-leveling surface with a subtle metallic sheen

This can make painting outdoors much more challenging with acrylics unless you are working very fast with “one shot” paintings. Our OPEN Acrylics can be a very effective solution if wanting to use acrylics outdoors.
