Find out how to watercolor a Halloween
pumpkin for your own seasonally themed home décor!
Materials
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens
- Tombow MONO Twin Permanent Marker
- Mixed media sketchbook
- Paintbrush and water
- Photo frame
Step 1: Start by inking your pumpkin shape with the Tombow MONO Twin Permanent Marker. This pen is oil-based, which allows you to go back and watercolor over it without smudging your black lines.
Step 2: Use the Tombow Dual Brush Pens to watercolor within the pumpkin. Add the Dual Brush Pen ink directly onto the paper in the areas you want the color to be darkest.
Step 3: Paint over the Tombow Dual Brush Pen lines with water and a paintbrush to spread the color and create a watercolor effect. The more water you add, the lighter the color will become.
Step 4: Let the water dry and then go in and add more layers of color. By layering colors like this, you have more control over how dark the design looks. After letting your artwork dry, pop it into a frame!
